Cameron Stanek


Cameron was born and raised in Casper, WY. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Montana State University Billings before returning home to Wyoming.

For Optimal Physical Therapy Cameron is an Exercise Physiologist who develops and produces specific workouts for athletes ranging from elementary school students to elite athletes. Cameron uses individualized periodization training to continuously improve his clients to meet their goals. Cameron also works in conjunction with the Physical Therapists to assist in the continuation of care of eligible patients, to improve the patient’s strength and to assist in the functional movements for activities of daily living. This extension of physical therapy is ideal in helping the patient bridge the gap between treatment and performance.

EP-C – American College of Sports Medicine- Certified Exercise Physiologist. Conducts complete physical assessments – also interprets the results in order to prescribe appropriate, personalized exercise programs.

TSAC-F – National Strength and Conditioning Association-Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator. applies scientific knowledge to physically train military, fire and rescue, law enforcement, protective services, and other emergency personnel to improve performance, promote wellness, and decrease injury risk.

CSPS – National Strength and Conditioning Association- Certified Special Populations Specialist. Using an individualized approach, assess, motivate, educate, and train special population clients of all ages regarding their health and fitness needs, preventively, and in collaboration with healthcare professionals.

FMS – Functional Movement Systems- Functional Movement Screen LVL 1&2. FMS uses objective and validated standards to check the movement baseline and build foundations for lifelong movement success.

YBT – Functional Movement Systems- Y Balance Test. The YBT is a simple way to measure a person’s motor control and demonstrate functional symmetry.

CSCS – National Strength and Conditioning Association- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. The only certification recognized by the collegiate and Professional ranks in the area of Strength and Conditioning worldwide.

FCS – Functional Movement Systems- Fundamental Capacity Screen. An innovative approach to fitness testing to get your clients and athletes on the most efficient path to optimal performance. FCS was designed to test four (4) key components of athletic capacity and identify issues affecting an individual’s ability to: Produce power, Store and reuse energy, Maintain posture under load, and Control balance.

RPR – Reflexive Performance Reset LVL1&2. Using the RPR wake up drills, you can shift your own body out of Compensation patterns and reduce pain, increase flexibility and help your body become more resilient to injury.

USATF – United States of America Track and Field LVL 1 Certified Coach specializing in sprints. Assistant Coach with Wyoming Speed Academy. Notably, Coaches Ashlyn Mundell and Charlie Powell, both current world record holders.

USAW – United States of America Weightlifting LVL 1. Certified in Olympic lifts.
