Kari Ward

Kari brings 11 years of experience to the pediatric team at Optimal Pediatrics as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She attended the University of Wyoming where she received her undergraduate degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences as well as her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Following completion of her graduate work, Kari moved to Casper, Wyoming with her family. She has worked with patients across the life span in inpatient and outpatient settings and has honed her skills to address a wide variety of speech, language, swallowing, voice, and cognitive needs. She has received various certifications over the course of her training including Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Vital Stim, AmpCare, and LSVT Loud. She has a passion for working with children who have voice and swallowing deficits. She joined Optimal Pediatrics in 2020 as she had a drive to work with the pediatric population and wanted to be able to assist children of all ages and needs. Kari currently holds a Wyoming State License in Speech-Language Pathology and is a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Along with being licensed and certified, Kari is a member of the Wyoming Speech and Hearing Association (WyoSHA) and has services in multiple different capacities for the board over the last six years.
